This past September, on my third visit to Orlando, I was finally able to eat at the Be Our Guest restaurant.

If you didnβt guess from the name, Be Our Guest is a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant at Magic Kingdom.
Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney movie (and maybe even my favourite movie full stop) and, for any fan, dining in the Beastβs castle is a dream!

I booked about two months in advance and got a lunch time reservation. I wouldβve preferred a dinner reservation but there werenβt many options left. Disney dining reservations open up 60 days in advance so I would book as close as you can to the 60 days to make sure you get your preferred time slot.
Here is the breakdown of our experience eating at the Be Our Guest restaurant.
The Food
Honestly, I wanted to eat here for the experience before the food but the food was delicious! I had the french onion soup, roasted poulet rouge chicken and the dessert trio. The boyfriend had the pork terrine (which no longer seems to be on the menu), grilled filet mignon and the dessert trio.

The french onion soup was incredible and definitely the highlight for me. G even preferred it to his terrine (even though heβs a carnivore through and through). The chicken wasnβt really to my taste but thatβs nothing to do with how it was cooked, just my personal preference. G loved his steak and said it may have been the best meal he had while we were in Orlando.

As he isnβt much of a sweets person I got to trade my chicken for his dessert trio which worked out great for all involved. It included a macaron, chocolate truffle and the grey stuff! And yes, it was delicious.

The Price
On looking at the website, it seems that the price has gone up very slightly since we were there in September. Itβs now showing as $70 (Β£55.23) per adult and $41 (Β£32.35) per child. It was $62 per adult back in 2022! Yes it is very pricey. If youβre a die hard fan, I would say that itβs worth it but itβs not a great option for a budget.
The Setting
There are three different dining areas; The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing and The Rose Gallery. We were seated in The Grand Ballroom but I took the time to look around each of the areas. The attention to detail was meticulous in every room.
The Grand Ballroom and The West Wing are near perfect replicas of the movie. The ceiling, chandeliers, snowy windows, the enchanted rose, the clawed portrait, gargoylesβ¦I could go on!

Fun fact: the cherubs painted on the ballroom ceiling are modelled off of the baby photos of the Imagineers who worked on the restaurant as a tribute.

While The Rose Gallery isnβt featured in the movie, it is a beautiful showcase of character portraits and features a huge music box topped with a dancing Belle and Beast.

This isnβt classed as character dining in the traditional sense but the Beast does make a surprise appearance and strolls amongst his guests. Yes I did shed a tear and no Iβm not embarrassed to admit it.
The Experience
All in all I would highly recommend visiting Be Our Guest if you can get yourself a reservation and itβs within your budget. I would suggest a dinner reservation over a lunch reservation if possible. Eating a three-course meal in the middle of a park day in 37-degree heat was not the one!

Would you eat here? If you have, what did you think of the experience?
